BRIC (Women-Focused Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Program)

This is a project that is still in development.

Goals: Our goal in the development of this program is to increase financial literacy in our community to create upward mobility for African immigrants. Your finances don’t have to be taken advantage of- financial literacy is universal, and becoming financially literate is not as difficult as you might think.

  • BRIC Building Resilience in Immigrant Communities: We are partnering with Tufts University to create a curriculum for female entrepreneurs to learn about homeownership, credit cards, saving for college…- teaching practical things that often go unlearned as female entrepreneurs. Everyone should know that you don’t have to go to college to start a business. We hope to create a mentorship circle that inspires other African women in the community to start their own businesses.
