  • Grant Secured by Ayanna Pressley for Africa-Owned Small Businesses

    On February 14th 2023, Rep Ayanna Pressley visited the ACEDONE to deliver $640,003 in federal community project funding to set the groundwork for an equitable and just economic recovery from the pandemic! We are SO lucky and honored to have received this grant. The funding received will go towards supporting the economic vitality of small businesses in predominantly low income, Black, brown and immigrant communities across the Massachusetts 7th Congressional District.   • ACEDONE's 20th Anniversary Celebration

    This October, ACEDONE celebrated 20 years of hard-work and dedication to African immigrant communities in Boston! It was a privilege to be able to commemorate our milestones and growth with community members, alumni, elected officials from all over the world, partners, and sponsors.   • Zero Carbon Renovation Fund Coalition

    On January 5, 2023, the Zero Carbon Renovation Fund Coalition, made up of 150 organizations across the Commonwealth at the intersection of housing, education, health, climate, and environmental justice, held a virtual media briefing just before the start of the new year, announcing their effort to ask the Massachusetts State Legislature to invest $300 million in a Zero Carbon Renovation Fund to fund statewide efforts to decarbonize existing buildings in Massachusetts and move us closer toward a zero carbon future. ACEDONE is proud to play a role in furthering resiliency in communities that must bear the brunt of the state’s environmental burdens. Click here to read more about the work being done.

    Our coalition of grassroots organizations Equity Now & Beyond (EN&B) held an important conference on the role of immigrant community-based organizations in Covid-19 vaccine information and access.
